Membership Types and Forms

When the Centre was founded by Mary Robinson she intended to create,

"...a unique linkage between legal practitioners, academic lawyers and representatives of the wide range of sectors affected by European Law."

The Centre's Membership is comprised of individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who share an interest in keeping up to date with developments in EU law and European Human Rights law.

The Centre offers a number of different categories of Membership:

  • Group
  • Ordinary
  • Reduced Rate
  • Associate, and
  • Overseas.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary Membership is open to all members of the public. It is of greatest benetit to sole practitioners, consultants, academics, employees and all persons who wish to keep up to date with developments in European Law. Ordinary membership costs €180 per year.

 

Reduced Rate Ordinary Membership

Reduced Rate Ordinary Membership of the Centre is available to barristers and solicitors in their first 7 years of practice and Early Career Researchers within 7 years of award of their doctorate.  It is designed to encourage those new to a legal career to attend high level legal events that they might not otherwise be able to afford.  Reduced Rate Ordinary Membership costs €50 per year.

 

Associate Membership

Associate Membership of the Centre is available to full-time undergraduate and post-graduate students at the rate of €5 per year.

 

Group Membership

Group Membership is geared to the needs of professional partnerships, limited companies, government departments, public bodies, non-governmental, trades unions and public interest organisations which have a number of partners or employees who wish to benefit from the Centre's activities. Group membership is available at €395 per annum.

 

Overseas Membership

Overseas membership is open to individuals resident outside Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Overseas membership costs €100.00 per annum
